The MDU 2008 Professionalism in Medicine & Healthcare Workshop

Professionalism has become a buzzword in medical education and many postgraduate training programmes now feature a professionalism component but do you know what the term actually means and how it applies to you?

The MDU’s one-day workshop has been developed to help doctors and healthcare professionals identify and deal with a range of issues related to professionalism and good medical practice.  The workshop has a practical focus and provides plenty of opportunity for discussion in both large and small groups.  Areas covered include:

  • Professional expectations and obligations
  • Rewards and privileges of being a doctor
  • Stress and time management
  • Professional leadership
  • Achieving a work-life balance

Who will be speaking?

The workshop will be led by respected clinical educator Mark G Brennan BA(Hons) MA AKC DHMSA MIoD MRI FcollT FHEA FRIPH.  Mark will be joined by a doctor from the MDU medico-legal advisory team.

Where and when?

The workshop will be held at the MDU head office in London.

Thursday 30 October 2008, 9am to 4pm

How much?

  • MDU members - £150
  • Non MDU members - £195

Registration fees include an attendance certificate, course materials, lunch and refreshments.
