Student membership

We believe in supporting members throughout their careers - not just in times of crisis. Our commitment to you begins in your first year at dental school and continues throughout your education and professional career.

Student membership is free and provides you with access to a comprehensive range of services including:

• Free gift for freshers

  Student dentists applying in their first year receive the Oxford Concise Medical Dictionary. Other students, including nurses, hygienists and therapists will receive the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Dentistry.

• Book discounts

  We've negotiated some great discounts on text books, courses and other publications such as travel guides.

• Advice 24 hours a day

  When you need advice on dento-legal issues, simply call our freephone 24-hour advisory helpline.

• Elective support

  We can provide you with a wealth of advice, both on our website and in our free electives guide. We can also provide free indemnity for your elective.

• Sponsorship of student events

  We believe in supporting student events and can sponsor both academic and student events.

Free student membership is only available to dental professionals in the UK and Ireland who are on a GDC/IDC recognised dental degree or training programme. Excludes clinical activity undertaken outside of a training post.
